Can you cut an organizer from my CAD file?

Yes. Customers who would like to create their own drawings using a computer program can certainly do so. We can work from a variety of file types from most popular CAD programs. See our custom organizers page for more details.

Do you sell foam that I can cut myself?

Yes. Please see our tool foam blanks page for details and cutting instructions.

Can you make a tool foam blank to fit a different drawer size?

Yes. We're happy to cut just about any size tool foam blank.

How tight should the cutout be around the tool?

For best results we recommend 0.010 to 0.030 inches of clearance around polished tools like sockets. For large tools like wrenches we recommend 0.030 to 0.060 inches of clearance. It's okay to have more space around portions of the tool. Trying to get a uniform 0.030-inch gap around the tool is not necessary.

How much space is needed between tools?

We like to suggest 0.5 inch between tools. For more details, please view our CAD design guide.

How much do you charge for custom foam organizers?

Pricing for custom tool organizers varies, but the following guidelines are a starting point. We don't charge any setup fees, but a programming charge is typically applied the first time a custom design is cut.

customs up to 12 X 24 inches, 3/4 inch tool foam = $60
customs up to 18 X 24 inches, 3/4 inch tool foam = $80
customs up to 24 X 24 inches, 3/4 inch tool foam = $110
customs up to 24 X 36 inches, 3/4 inch tool foam = $140

Larger sizes are possible. Just ask!

How many organizers must I order?

We don't charge a setup fee and are happy to make a single copy of an organizer for you. We can make multiple copies of a design if that's what you need (we've never had an order that was too small or too big).

How long does it take?

We cut each organizer after it's ordered. Most standard organizers and tool foam blanks ship within 1 to 3 working days.

What do you charge for shipping?

We offer free ground shipping to the 48 contiguous states. Residents of Alaska, Hawaii, and other locations can email their info for a shipping estimate.

Do you ship to Canada/Mexico?

Yes. It's tough to fit "polyethylene tool foam" in the little space on the customs forms, but we'll manage.

Do you ship to ...?

Maybe. The problem is almost always the shipping cost. Our tool foam is too stiff to roll up, so the packages get quite large.

We really don't understand why ground packages are billed by weight, but air packages are billed by volume. Anyway... send us an email with the specifics and we'll quote the shipping to you.

Can you ship to an APO or FPO address?

Yes. Military mail is not a problem.

How do I check the status of my order?

The best way to check on a design or an order is to send us an email. We make a lot of noise in our shop, so we don't always hear the phone.
