Our two-color tool foam is made specifically for organizing tools.

Cross-Linked Polyethylene

Cross-linked polyethylene is chemically resistant to most motor oils, hydraulic oils, fuels, and many other chemicals. Samples are available for testing if your application requires.

Specifications

Firmness

Compressing the foam 25% requires 14 lbs applied per square inch.

A baseball weighs just over 5 ounces (0.3 lbs). The 3-inch solid steel sphere weighs 4.0 lbs. The foam compresses very little under either object.

Density

The foam weighs 3 lbs per cubic foot, but the small cell size results in a higher firmness than other 3-pound foams.

Cell Size

The cells (bubbles) in our tool foam average under 0.020 inches in diameter. This makes the foam firmer and gives it a solid appearance.

Temperature

The maximum recommended temperature of the material is 220 degrees Fahrenheit. The foam expands when hot, so cutting is best done near room temperature.
